Solar inverters are specially designed to save electricity. In spite of normal inverters, solar inverter use electricity generated from solar panels to charge the batteries. When the battery becomes 90% power Solar inverters switches OFF the KSEB power and load runs on stored solar power. It continues until the battery becomes 40% power. After that solar inverter switches ON the KSEB power. This process continues daily and save electricity. It keeps 40% power always for backup during KSEB power failure. To generate 1 unit (kWh) electricity, 300 watts solar panels needs to be installed in Kerala.
